ACIL, in partnership with the University of South Florida (USF), offers a full complement of training and workshops in continuous improvement, project management and leadership. If you don’t see a course that fits your organizations needs, we can create it.
Custom Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training
- Audience: Groups of 5-30 people. Individuals may also enroll, and will be placed in a small group cohort with other professionals.
- Next Session Dates: This is an open enrollment offering based on demand.
The Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program is a 30 hour course designed to facilitate learning in the Lean Six Sigma Methodologies. The program is for professionals who lead and/or support improvement projects, typically as a part-time role. The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt will gain a thorough understanding of all aspects of the phases of the Define, Measures, Analyze, Improve and Control (D-M-A-I-C) phases. They will understand how to perform and interpret standard tools and principles of Lean and Six Sigma.
Custom Leadership Training

The “Leading as a Supervisor” course is designed to equip current and aspiring supervisors with the essential skills and knowledge necessary to effectively lead teams and drive organizational success. This course explores the unique challenges and responsibilities faced by supervisors and provides practical strategies for overcoming them. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, interactive discussions, and hands-on activities, participants will learn key concepts and techniques in leadership, communication, team building, and performance management. The course will also emphasize the importance of emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and decision-making in supervisory roles.

Leading Projects Through Execution

- Next Session Dates: EEvery week on Tuesday and Thursday, starting on 5/14/24 and ending on 5/30/24, from (6:00 PM to 8:00 PM) EST.
This class builds upon the foundation of project management covered in course 1 (Foundations of Modern Project Management) to give you valuable skills required in today’s ever-changing corporate project management environment. Through interactive discussions of the topics of stakeholder management, leading teams, finance, financial planning, and basic process improvement tools and techniques, you will come away with skills needed to execute against all the planning that has gone into the project plan.
Agile Project Management
- Format: Live Online
- Next Session Dates: Every week on Tuesday and Thursday, starting on 6/11/24, and ending on 6/27/24, from (6:00 PM to 8:00 PM) EST
Rounding out the series of project management courses in the USF Office of Corporate Training and Professional Education, this course builds upon the two previous courses (Foundations of Modern Project Management and Leading Projects through Execution) to give you valuable skills related to the exciting world of “agile project management”. In this course, you will examine the seven steps of the agile process, how the agile process encourages accountability, teamwork, and organization from team members and how to be a project manager in an agile environment.
